If you do end up using it, please let us know what you think of it. Either leave a comment on this page, or email enquiries@frankmorganmusicandpublishing.co.uk

Coming Soon

There has been plenty going on in recent months, despite the lack of updates on the website.

James has completed an instrumental piece for string ensemble (either a string orchestra or a quartet), which will be suitable for players of an intermediate standard or above. It is in its final edit before being launched soon after Easter. Look our for updates in the next few weeks.

James has also been into a recording studio with some family and friends. We recorded 4 choral pieces. There is a little post-production work that needs to be completed (there is a date in the diary). Look out for snippets becoming avaiable on the website in the near future…

Free Music available

We were recently contacted by someone on behalf of Patrick Appleford, the composer of the hymn “Living Lord”. Patrick has continued writing music for many years since and is keen on making his more recent work available to a wider audience. It is available via the Chelmsford Cathedral website, but here is a link directly to the page. There are 12 hymns that are free to download, and here is one as an example, a Christmas Carol. a-christmas-carol-full-score

We’re happy to oblige and help to make Patrick’s more recent work a bit more accessible.

Recent updates to the website

Three short extracts have now been uploaded to the website. One is a keyboard arrangement of the “Lamb of God” from the Apostle’s Mass, which is available on a separate page.

There are two extracts from the Ave Verum Corpus, arranged for piano, to give an idea of how the piece sounds. These are both available to listen to on the Ave Verum page. You can use the menu buttons at the top of this page to find them.

I hope you like them!

Exciting new developments

There’s a lot in the pipeline here at Frank Morgan Music and Publishing.

James has sent a version of his Ave Verum, arranged for 4 celli, to an old friend in Seattle, and the first look seems to have gone down well – they may even look to record it over the summer!

We are also looking to publish a booklet of Common Psalms, written for guitar accompaniment, which will give music groups who might struggle to find an easy version of a psalm to sing at Mass access to a version of a range of psalms that can be used in place of the psalm of the day. More details to follow…

and finally, there is the possibility of another Mass setting – written by more members of the music group at Our Lady’s in Stockport – negotiations are ongoing, and permission to publish will be sought as soon as possible…

So, keep your eyes open for news of more music becoming available soon!
